The Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth organisation for people aged 13 to 22. As part of the Air Cadet Organisation, the ATC is supported by the RAF.

In the ATC you can get involved in flying, gliding, hiking, camping, microliting, parachuting, leadership, sports, canoeing, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and many more.

Cadets enjoying the mudYou can attend camps in the UK and abroad. Spend time with Cadets from around the globe and take part in activities not open to most people.

The ATC was founded in 1941, at the height of the Second World War, and despite many changes to the RAF over the years the ATC is still going strong. There are currently 35,000 cadets in the UK - a head count greater than the RAF has!

There are Squadrons all over the UK, so even if you move, you can still take part in all the activities you always have.

In the ATC you will learn many skills useful in both military and civilian life. There is no commitment to join any of the armed services, but many Cadets do, and if you wish to follow such a career, then the ATC will give you an excellent grounding in all the essential skills required.

If you don't wish to pursue a military career, then the ATC will still be useful. Employers look out for commitment, teamworking and leadership skills and you will gain loads of experience of these and many more.

If you want to find out more about the ATC itself, please check out the official website or contact us for details.
